LIVE THE HIGH LIFE AT YOUR
NEW LUXURY APARTMENT IN
BLUE BELL PA!

How important is it to find a new home that’s well within proximity to cultural venues? For some, this is a top priority. Which is why it’s good that, when renting a home at the Townline, you’re just a short drive from two fantastic destinations for arts and culture in Blue Bell. Right in the heart of downtown are two spectacular theaters, each offering decidedly different experiences, though each provides a unique perspective into the community’s culture, both past and present.

Ambler Theater

Though this may be a local spot to catch a movie, it’s more than just a movie theater. First opened back in 1928, the building holds decades of stories in its Spanish Colonial–style walls. Despite the many changes Ambler Theater underwent over the years, its current owners saw the timeless beauty of its original glory and, as such, restored it, including a replica of its 30-foot-tall neon sign which had been demolished back in the 60s. Don’t expect to find the latest and greatest Hollywood blockbusters showing here. Instead, independent, art, and foreign films reign supreme. Plus, the theater is home to special events, such as its Saturday Kids’ Matinees and, for lovers of the Golden Age of Hollywood, the occasional screening of older classics.

Act II Playhouse

If live-action entertainment is more your speed, this is the place for you. This local community theater specializes in bringing to life productions of new, classic, and contemporary plays — and that even includes musicals! In addition to the more traditional style of theater, there are also the sporadic performances from touring stand-up comedians and, if you’re looking to get the little ones into the performance arts at a young age, there are special performances put together just for kids.

You don’t have to look very far when you want to spend a day immersed in the world of arts and culture in Blue Bell; it just comes down to deciding whether you’re in the mood for a film or live production.
